The dramatic arts have been a lifelong passion for Mojean Aria. At just eleven years old, Mojean starred in the Australian dramatic feature titled CROSSLIFE, which would later premiere at Sydney Film Festival. The following year, he won a scholarship to study acting at a drama arts high school by performing a self-authored monologue. Throughout his youth, he continued to study at N.I.D.A (National Institution of Dramatic Arts) whose notable alumni include: Cate Blanchett, Judy Davis, Mel Gibson and Hugo Weaving. At fourteen, he became the youngest student to partake in the institution's adult classes. At sixteen he successfully obtained yet another scholarship - this time, to attend The Metro Screen Film School for screenwriting. At age twenty, Mojean decided to give Hollywood a chance. A mere five weeks after his arrival, he was discovered while in an acting class and recommended to audition for the role of Jake LaMotta in THE BRONX BULL. He secured the role, received his visa sponsorship, and became an American resident. Mojean spent the next few years pursuing and learning from teachers who helped to fuel his passions. During this time, he worked in films such as ABAN & KHORSHID, a human rights film that won accolades at Cannes, Palm Springs, and Seattle Film Festival, as well as the highly touted short film SUITCASE which was sponsored by major studios Disney, Universal & Amazon. In 2017, Mojean became the first ever unsigned recipient of the Heath Ledger Scholarship as well being the first from a multi-cultural background. The judging panel consisted of established names such as: Naomi Watts, Ryan Murphy, Gary Oldman, Bruna Papandrea, Kimberly Peirce, Emile Sherman, Jacqueline McKenzie, Gregor Jordan and Ronna Kress. Kimberly Peirce praised, "Mojean's work is rich, nuanced, precise, beautiful, authentic, emotive and fierce." Benefactors to the program also include: the Ledger family, Michelle Williams, Hugh Jackman, Rose Byrne, Vince Vaughn, Deborra-Lee Furness, Phillip Noyce, Baz Luhrmann, Catherine Martin, and Nicole Kidman. Not long after, Mojean secured a starring role, alongside Rachel Griffiths, in the mini-series DEAD LUCKY. The series is scheduled for release in 2018. In late 2017 Mojean accepted the GQ Man Of The Year Legacy Award on behalf of Australians In Film. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
