Sebastian James was born as James Randel Rawlings in Houma, Louisiana and raised in Bayou Blue, a small cajun community located on the borders of Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes. This region is known as "The Heart of Acadiana". Sebastian's maternal ancestors, the Acadians, were exiled from Nova Scotia, Canada in the 1700's and found refuge in Southern Louisiana. His paternal ancestors, the MacGregors, belonged to a group of Scottish Celtic warriors known as the Highlanders. They fought alongside William Wallace in the first Scottish war for independence in 1296. Sebastian utilizes the word pursuit, as in the "Pursuit of Happiness", to the fullest extent. As he does not give up easily, it's in his DNA. He is known for his work on The Purge T.V Series (2018), Logan (2017) and Battleship (2012). With nothing to lose, James (aka Sebastian) joined the LA Harbodies "All Male Revue" dance troop. While trying to make ends meet, James learned about Louisiana's lucrative tax incentive for film and television, put in place by Louisiana's Governor Bobby Jindal. With the film industry booming James began working as an extra to learn how things worked. While working as an extra on "Never Back Down 2", James was noticed by Actor / Director Michael Jai White and was given a speaking role [Taft Hartley]. Not long after, James found himself on the set of Hasbro's sci-fi epic "Battleship". Again James caught the attention of Naval Advisor Captain Rick and Director Peter Berg.
