Ara Woland started acting at the age of ten at the Stanislavski theatre in Armenia, while at the same time trained in classical piano. He transitioned into film acting in his twenties and gradually became more involved in the producing side of both short and feature films, especially for the stories he believed in deeply. Ara successfully acted in and produced many films that screened at festivals worldwide. Amongst his most notable recent films are: "Pinsky" -- Winner of Best Feature Film at the Santa Fe Independent Film Festival; "You Can't Go Home Again" -- Special Screening at the Lincoln Center NYC; "12 Kilometers" -- Winner of Best Actor at the Boston International Film Festival; and "The Attempt" -- a film based on the true story of Soghomon Tehlirian (currently in post- production). Throughout his film career he remained musically active. Earlier this year Ara's song "Highlands" became a finalist for Serj Tankian's 7 Notes Challenge.
