Gregory was born and raised in Glendale, CA. He was working at Nordstrom Department Store in Glendale as a sales clerk when he was discovered and placed on the soap opera Days of Our Lives. After success on the soap, he was scouted and sent to model internationally in Paris, Milan and Germany for several years before returning to the states, where his modeling career continued to flourish in New York, Dallas, San Francisco and his home base of Los Angeles.
