Chris Collins was born in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, to Kathy Collins (Stangroom), and Gary Collins. His father left before Chris was even born and so a father figure was absent for the most part of Chris' childhood. By the age of 7, he was brought up by his step father David Stangroom, who worked as a manager at the Royal Mail Sorting office. Chris attended the Centre for the Arts in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, where he trained in the Performing Arts and graduated in 2004. Upon graduation, Chris was encouraged to study further at Middlesex University where he studied Theatre Arts but his studies were interrupted due to financial complications and moving out into his own flat. After completing his training Chris was cast in a number of roles in television and film. He was cast to play "Julian" in the drama film, 'Roberto', and then playing as "Spike" in a new series, 'Credenhill'. In 2017 he played the psychologically deranged gangster "Chris" in 'Roofied', and shortly after he auditioned and got the part of "The Manager" in the student film 'Safe'. Throughout 2017, Chris managed to book various scenes in people's show reel's and gained further training by attending a 6 week course at the Melbourne Acting Centre in London. Towards the end of 2017, Chris was adjusting to the death of his step-father, and his grandparents, along with further financial struggles. Chris was on the verge of quitting, but by 2018 he worked consistently at getting more roles by auditioning on various websites, and started to write short films of his own and by early 2018, he starred and wrote the short film 'Facing Facts' playing as the honest father "Liam". Shortly after he filmed 'Spiced Up' where was a "chef de partie" that managed to get selected by the LA Cinefest as a semi-finalist. Immediately after, he started on the next short film 'Lack of Respect' playing the boyfriend "Gavin", that also entered the festival circuit, he was then cast in the short film 'Can you hear me?' where he had spent days researching the incel condition (involuntarily celibate) and combined a selection of icons and made this role of "Phil" come to life. By the end of 2018, Chris had built a loyal and professional social media support base and received wonderful recognition for his efforts. Chris still manages to get roles and he can next be seen playing a husband suffering with extreme anxiety in the film 'Angst Roulette' along with Paul Wenham and Kirsty-anne Ireland later in 2019. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Christian Davidson
