Demetrius Lykes

Demetrius Anthony Lykes, actor, model, singer, and dancer was born in Maryland then after a year he moved to San Francisco. Demetrius started performing when he was in a small Christmas play with his class at Francis Scott Key Elementary at the age of 7. He and his brother moved again because their father was in the Army, and they relocated to Orange County (Seal Beach) in 1998. He took art classes and music classes at McGuagh Elementary school and started to find a love for art and music. Demetrius attended Oak Middle School in 2001 and found his passion for sports but he will quickly find that he will have a passion for theater. He took a drama class in the 7th grade and his love for theater grew more and more everyday. Demetrius attended Westminster High School carrying the dream of one day becoming a professional basketball player. Demetrius growing up loved being around people and making new friends. In 2008 after high school Demetrius relocated to Fullerton where he would attend Cal State Fullerton but he was still in the midst of finding himself and still trying to figure out what he wanted to pursue in life. In 2010, Demetrius took an Acting class with his best friend Marcus Brown where he will soon find his love for acting. Growing up since he was a child, Demetrius favorite actors were Denzel Washington and Will Smith and almost everyday while in college he would watch his favorite actors whether in movies or Will Smith on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Demetrius walked at Cal State Fullerton in 2015 and after he walked he decided to follow his dreams and goals of becoming an actor. He has been acting ever since 2015, he started out playing an extra on TV shows, movies, and commercials. He is still taking acting classes and learning every day as an actor. He has had his first speaking role in a web series and is currently working on a romantic comedy film. He resides in Westminster. Demetrius has developed the love of singing and dancing since he was young. He would sing songs by artist like Michael Jackson and many more and would try to mimic their dance moves. His favorite dancers growing up was Michael Jackson and Chris Brown. He has been taking dance classes on a professional level and has learned a lot from his teacher and choreographer Marcus Bradford. His favorite dancers today are Tight Eyez, Chris Brown, and the Les Twins. Demetrius developed a love for singing until 2016 he decided that he wanted to purse singing on a professional level. He has been taking vocal lessons since then with vocalist Karis Arreguin. Demetrius stays passionate as a model and hopes to one day be on the cover of GQ and sports illustrated. He has been in various fashion shows and a few fitness shots. He has been a vegan for almost two years now and has had the passion to be a fitness model as well as a fashion model. Demetrius developed a love and passion for photography as well. He started in 2016 and took time away from photography. A few months ago he got back into photography and with the help of a few of his friends who are photographers, he has found his new found passion for photography.
