Matt Sharp was born on December 9, 1983 in Austin, TX, the middle of three children to Ed and Debbie Sharp. Raised in a middle class upbringing, his family moved numerous times throughout the country, finally settling down in Clearwater, Florida by his high school years. From an early age, he excelled at sports, eventually becoming a premier prep baseball player with aspirations of becoming a major league baseball player. Running out of opportunities after college, he settled down back in Clearwater, having successful careers in both real estate and corporate finances. A chance encounter with a close friend and professional actor changed all that. After assisting his friend with a video audition, he was hooked, choosing to make acting and screenwriting his life. It didn't take long to find his feet, as he found steady work as an actor in numerous independent films and commercials. All while building up an impressive screenwriting resume, racking up many awards from international screenplay competitions.
