Betsy Sligh

Betsy Sligh was born in Memphis, Tennessee but moved Georgia when she was 2 years old. She splits her time between Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles.. Since she was a toddler, Betsy has been watching her big brother, Duncan, star in musicals and plays in school and local theatre. Betsy performed in local theater with Duncan before he went off to study theatre at SCAD in Savanna, Ga on a theatre scholarship. He inspired his young sister to begin acting at the age of 6, and she soon booked the lead role in a horror film for the Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project, and acting become her love and passion from then on. Betsy's latest project is the long anticipated Walt Disney TV's Life Size 2 with Tyra Banks, Francia Raisa, Hank Chen, Alison Fernandez, Shanica Knowles and Gavin Stenhouse. Life Size 2 will air on Freeform during the 25 Days of Christmas in December of 2018. Betsy was lead voice over and actress in the 2015 Atlanta 48 Hour Film Project (Film de Femme) called Catch Me if U Can produced by the award winning Bontrager Twins. Catch me if U Can made it to the finals and won two jury awards. Bontrager Twins Productions cast Betsy in multiple projects including their latest film, All American, written by Dewayne Bontrager. Bontrager wrote this script with Betsy in mind for the role, and the script was a top-ten finalist (over 400 submissions) in Atlanta's Get Connected Atlanta & Final Touch Production's $10k grant Giveaway headed by multi- award winning producer Autumn Essie Bailey-Ford. Betsy also played a lead role in the award winning horror film the Maiden and worked with award winning director Michael Chaves and award-winning cinematographer, Tristan Nyby. This frightening film was filmed at the iconic Beckett Mansion in Los Angeles. Betsy also enjoyed working with her talented co-star war, Sunnie Pelant of the TV series Bones and the film Jackie. Outside of acting, Betsy loves to read and always has two books going at once, and because of this, her reading level has been at the college level for years. When in Georgia, Betsy loves to be on the lake where she can water ski, knee board and hang out with her family, friends and four dogs.
