Nisaro Karim

An only child, Nisaro Karim was born in Birmingham, England. Nisaro is a British, Birmingham/London-based award winning actor who engages with both film work and theatrical performance. He recently won 'best supporting actor' at the Midlands Movies awards. Having passionately committed himself to acting full-time, he has consciously developed his ability through multiple training courses. He is a multi-lingual, uniquely creative method actor with an array of performative skills and athletic abilities at his disposal: screen writing and devising theatre; comedy improvisation; screen combat and weapons training; martial arts- specifically kickboxing- and an array of other sporting capabilities. As a well-travelled, well-educated individual who entered the business world at an early age before studying Law as a mature student, Nisaro, through life experience and emotional memory, is able to bring strength and wisdom to his acting- qualities which build on his already profound physical presence on screen. He has spent the last three years bringing life to an array of challenging roles: Raja, the drug-addicted antagonist in 'Crushed Wings' by Cambuddha Films; Marvin Bacon, a conflicted and troubled gay footballer, in 'Marvin Bacon,' performed at The Birmingham Rep; David, a quick-witted and manipulative Military Officer in the critically acclaimed 'Passion for Birmingham,' produced by The Old Joint Stock Theatre in Birmingham. Nisaro intends to continue driving his career forwards this year by engaging, specifically, in more complex drama and masterful comedy, seeking opportunities to work with equally tenacious, daring artists.
