Charlotte Legault

Born June 4th, 1991, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Early on, Charlotte trained 9 years in competitive artistic gymnastics obtaining several honors. Alongside, she took ballet lessons, often performing solos on stage. Near the end of her competitive career, at the age of 13, she was offered professional schooling to become a dancer. While pursuing her extensive ballet training, she began auditioning as a young actress and quickly gained experience in various Quebec productions. Shortly thereafter, she chose to devote herself to acting and intensely attended multiple workshops for a period of 5 years. Her lucky break came when she performed at 16 years old the lead role in the feature film "Derrière Moi" (2007), an independent production directed by Rafael Ouellet. The film was selected for several film festivals: Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), San Sebastiàn Film Festival, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma (FNC, Montreal), Rendez-Vous du Cinéma Québécois (RVCQ, Montreal) and Buenos Aires International Festival of Independent Cinema (BAFICI). Fluent in French as well as English (at ease with American, southern American, British and Irish accents), among several productions for film and television. At the age of 25, the young actress' career takes a huge turn. Her agency is closing down, and just when she thought it was over, a casting director offered her a role in the new series "District 31" for 1 episode only, take or leave it. 6 months later, the producers wanted her back on the show. The role gained more importance every week thanks to the screenwriter, Luc Dionne. She ends the second season with more than 50 episodes which leads her to the title of "Revelation" and is officially nominated for the Gala Gémeaux' 33rd edition in the category "best supporting actress in an annual dramatic series". Not long before shooting the series' end of season, a talented director, Matthew Rankin, drew and wrote her an epic role in his first feature film "20th century". Thanks to M.Rankin, she makes her comeback with an original role in an outstanding independant production. Guy A Lepage, invites her at his famous talk-show "Tout le monde en parle" to talk about the "Miss BBQ" phenomenon and demonstrate all her talents (accents, dialects, languages and especially her singing).
