Genevieve Mariko Wilson is an award-winning actress, singer/songwriter, and dancer. Her award-winning comedy short film "Turning Japanese", directed by Paul Bickel, garnered 16 awards, with Genevieve winning 3 Best Actress Awards. She also recorded the popular 80s version by The Vapors, "Turning Japanese", produced by veteran Grammy-nominated producer Joel Diamond, which climbed the Hot Dance Club Charts to #9 in the UK, and also climbed Billboard's Dance Charts to #39. Her second recording with Joel Diamond, "Heavenly Body" also climbed the charts in the UK. She also recorded with multi-platinum producer Brian Malouf "Vertigo", and her music video for "Vertigo" (web series in the works) was a recent selection of the Berlin International Film Festival and has received 2 awards thus far: Silver Screen Award from the Nevada International Film Festival, and Excellence in Direction of a Music Video with International Film Festival of Cinematic Arts Los Angeles. Her performing career began when she was 12 studying ballet with her father who was an English Ballet Choreographer. Genevieve performed with the SHIKI Musical Theatre Co. in their nationwide opening Broadway production The Lion King in Japan, and in a production of Chicago as Velma. She has performed more than 4,000 shows with Universal Studios Japan, Here in the states, Genevieve studied acting for film at The Acting Corps in their two year Professional Program, as well as, seminars at New York Film Academy.
