Abhimanyu Sarkar is an Indian Film actor. He was born in Gorakhpur. Abhimanyu started his fundamental acting training from New Delhi, under guidance of Bappi Bose, at the age of 17 years. He had attained a bachelor degree in Engineering from Radha Govind Engineering College, Uttar Pradesh Technical University and also learnt Screen Media, History and Philosophy of Films. He subsequently worked for Aaj Tak in New Delhi Office, under the guidance of Mr. Vikas Mishra. He had undergone an extensive training in body language and behavioral analytics by Australian Psychologist and Film Maker, Dr. Satya Prakash. He had attended acting workshops at the Shri Ram-krishna Ashram in Delhi, which has faculty from NSD (National School of Drama), India. He has an experience of 6 years in theatre and has attended many workshops of acting and voice training program conducted by acting legends from NSD. He is also trained in mixed martial art and kick-boxing from Kailash Stadium, Meerut. Abhimanyu came to Mumbai in 2009 with dreams of making it big. In the beginning of his career, he has worked in many short films for various directors such as Priyesh Srivastava, Deepesh Sumitra and Utsav Singh. After making brief appearances in Films such as "The attack of 26/11" Dir by- Ramgopal Verma (2013), "Bajrangi-Bhaijaan" Dir by- Kabir khan(2015), "Calendar Girls" Dir by- Madhur Bhandarkar (2015), "Wazir" Dir by- Bijoy Nambiar (2015), he is now doing "Mrig-Trishna" as Lead, Dir by- Abhijit.
