Born in Belarus, Vlad Rimburg immigrated to the United States at the age of 6 with his family and was raised in Los Angeles, California. It was during Vlad's competitive martial arts days that he received a Hi-8 camcorder. During this time, Vlad was influenced by Jackie Chan, Sammo Hung and the indie stunt group Zero Gravity, and used the camera as a tool to start filming his own fight scenes.
