Sho Oyamada was born in Tochigi prefecture, Japan. Sho went on to attend Colorado Technical University in Colorado, where he earned BS in Systems management. He returned to Japan right after graduation of the university and joined a multinational consulting firm as a consultant. A few years later, he went on to attend Henley Business school in Reading, UK, where he studied international securities, investment and banking. He joined UBS as a proprietary bond trader after graduation of the business school. His acting career began when he happened to see an audition ad in newspaper at sports club. This moment reminded him of what he dreamed of being an actor at his childhood. Sho decided to give up a banking career for acting. When he left the banking industry, he was quite successful. He made every kind of effort to pursue an acting career and eventually belongs to agency "Stardust Promotion Co., Ltd" which is a leading Japanese talent agency, headquartered in Shibuya, Tokyo. The agency has a dominant share in the management of artists including actors, actresses and singers. His film career started with small roles, in Tokumei kakarichô Tadano Hitoshi: Saigo no gekijôban (2008), Zen (2009), and then Randebû! (2010). In 2010, Sho was cast in a major role, "Seio Watanabe" in the China Hunan Satellite TV series, The Legend of Yang Guifei (2010) starring Anthony Wong. Sho had to try to act under wire work and use a sword, but managed well. He was cast for a leading role, "Kei Matsuda" in Klevani: Ai no Tunnel(2014). It was filmed in Ukraine in cooperation with Ukraine Embassy of Japan, and it used a famous verdant tunnel called "tunnel of love" at the Klevani.
