Maria Shamkalian (maiden name - Breyman) was born in Leningrad, USSR (now St. Petersburg, Russia). She has a dual Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Communication and a Master's Degree in Education. Maria is a SAG-AFTRA actress, writer and producer as well as a Board Member of Pennsylvania Film Industry Association and a licensed teacher. She participated in over 40 different productions, wrote a number of projects, published a children's book, had her screenwriting work featured in film festivals, produced commercials to advocate for early childhood education, performed with her poetry and inspirational speaking, and organized multiple charitable fundraisers.
