Roope Olenius is a Finnish actor-filmmaker who has become known as one of the forth-pushing powers behind the new wave of Finnish genre movie with roles in movies like Bunny the Killer Thing (2015), Backwood Madness and Punainen Kohina. In addition to acting, Olenius is known for producing intense and starkly realistic short films Kaverille Kanssa (2013), Dia-Cide (2013)_ and Choices (2016) and most recently with his directorial debut with hillbilly horror Kyrsyä - Tuftland (2017) (2017). After graduating with his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the renowned New York Film Academy in 2013, Olenius moved back to his home country to work with some of the most celebrated Finnish directors on film and in television with roles in productions like Luokkakokous (2015), Love Records - anna mulle Lovee (2016), Syke, Kimmo and Ihon Alla. Olenius has also created a strong footing in Finland, on both sides of the camera, as one of the players behind the independent genre film movement that aims to make films straight for the international market. Olenius is the owner of Bright Fame Pictures and he is represented by the Nordic Talents Agency.
