Trent was born and raised in Tennessee, worked as a singing cowboy at Six Flags Over Texas and had a successful career as a male model for Elite Models in Dallas before moving to New York to study acting. He has learned the craft of acting from some of the greats including: Uta Hagen, Sandy Dennis, Cloris Leachman and Lorrie and Diane Hull. Trent's acting is diverse, from a Rebel prisoner fighting for his "rats" in "Gettysburg," to a guard greeting Wesley Snipes with "Mellow Greetings, What seems to be your boggle?" in "Demolition Man," along with playing the death row inmate Bobby Lee Hazen in HBO's "The Expert."
