Jackson Murphy (a.k.a. Lights-Camera-Jackson) began his career as a movie critic at the age of 7 1/2, doing reviews on an Upstate N.Y. radio station. A few years later he moved to TV, reviewing films on YNN, Time Warner's regional 24-hour all-news network. Jackson made his first national TV appearance in the summer of 2009, interviewed from the audience on "Live with Regis and Kelly". But is was a guest spot on "Fox and Friends" in March of 2010, during which Jackson made his Oscar predictions, that prompted the news/entertainment world to start taking notice (and, yes, he nailed all of his picks). In the summer of 2010 Murphy appeared on "Today" and then "The Early Show", following which he was signed as a contributing critic on the CBS show. In February of 2011 Jackson made his first late-night appearance, on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno", again making his Oscar picks (and, again, he got them all correct). He returned to "Fox and Friends" that week and a few weeks later talked movies with host Nate Berkus on the nationally syndicated "The Nate Berkus Show". In the summer of 2010 Murphy became a contributing critic on "The Morning Show" on Seven Net in Australia. Jackson won his first N.Y. Emmy Award in 2010, becoming the youngest winner in the 53 years of that award. He is a 4-time N.Y. Emmy nominee. In 2012 he was invited to become a (the youngest) member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association and he appeared on the BFCA's "Critics Choice Movie Awards"(CW) in Jan. 2013. He is also a contributing critic on "Mark at the Movies" (Reelz). Jackson is a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and the NY Chapter of NATAS. He is a full-time High School student, who squeezes-in studying/homework between seeing/reviewing films, covering events and interviewing celebrities. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Anonymous
