Dylan Farrell was born on the 18th of November 2003 in Pukekohe, New Zealand to Steve, a tractor salesman, and Danielle, an OR Nurse. He is of Dutch, Irish, Swedish, Scottish, Welsh and English decent. Dylan started gymnastics at the age of 4 and by the age of 6 was at a competitive level. He showed great promise but sadly was diagnosed with Perthes disease in his left hip at the age of 9. He spent 2 years in and out of hospital (at times in traction) and most of this time he was in a wheelchair. In 2013, he underwent a major operation on his hip (varysing femoral osteotomy) after which he spent 6 weeks in a body cast. Now at the age of 12, his hip is healing well and he no longer needs a wheelchair or crutches. While his dream of representing his country in gymnastics has been dashed, Dylan has discovered that he has a talent for acting and in particular, stunts. His gymnastics background has come in very handy! He also has learned to unicycle and is skilled at doing tricks. His role in Mechanic: Resurrection as Young Bishop, was Dylan's acting debut. He quickly followed that with a role as Young Rex Hillary in the mini series Hillary detailing the life of Sir Edmund Hillary. He has also appeared in a Quit-line advertisement in New Zealand and continues to audition for roles as they come up. His favorite things to do are surfing, skateboarding, fishing, looking after animals, uni-cycling and acting. He would like to be a stunt man/action movie star when he is older. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Danielle Farrell
