Donna Anita Nikolaisen is an Irish-Caribbean actress whose TV career began with roles in Irish TV Dramas 'Bitter Sweet' and 'Single-Handed 2'. She plays the role of Ama Chisenga on Ireland's most watched TV Soap 'Fair City' (2014 - 2017) Donna's recent stage work was with True Voice Theatre's production of the Chekhov comedies 'The Bear' and 'The Proposal'. Stage credits include lead roles in Dermot Bolger's 'Tea Chests and Dreams' at The Axis Theatre and Maria Ann Hylton's 'No Irish No Blacks No Dogs' at The New Theatre. The diversity of Donna's stage roles also include Bertha Mason at The Gate Theatre's acclaimed production of 'Jane Eyre'. She also played Lebanese journalist, Rima, in Robin Soan's 'Talking to Terrorists' at The Samuel Beckett and adopted a warrior pose as one of the Bacchae in Conall Morrison's Greek Tragedy 'The Bacchae of Baghdad' at The Abbey, Ireland's National Theatre. In addition to acting, Donna is also an accomplished singer. Her repertoire encompasses Music Theatre, Jazz and her own original songs.
