Yui (pronounced U-E) was born in Hyogo, Japan. She moved to San Diego, California in 2011 and studied English at California English School. After she finished her English school, she started studying theatre at Palomar College, and then transferred to California State University, Fullerton, where she received her BA in Theatre Arts. She has joined a theatre company, Shakespeare Orange County as an actor and dancer in 2015 - 2017. She has been in multicultural Shakespeare plays which mixed Asian and Western culture and casts. She learned many stage combat techniques as well as other languages. She met the director of The God Chair, her first short film at the company and started her film acting career.
