Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba as the youngest of three siblings, Mitch grew up focusing on what most Manitobans do, hockey. He excelled at the sport, finishing his career as a defenceman with the MMJHL team, Transcona Railer Express, before turning his focus to acting. Although he participated in high school plays, Mitch's passion for the craft didn't ignite until he was awarded scene study classes for winning a local modelling competition he was persuaded to enter by his mother. While modelling was not a career path Mitch was interested in, the suggestion that "you never know what could happen" led to his participation. Opportunity soon came knocking with a chance to audition for Randall Wallace's film, Heaven Is For Real, starring Greg Kinnear. Mitch jumped at the opportunity and was offered the role of 'Heywood', a young wrestler being mentored by Kinnear's character. To this day, he still credits that first experience, and the kindness Wallace showed, as being a catalyst for moving forward down this path. Mitch's first major role was soon to follow with Lifetime's The Choking Game opposite Freya Tingley. A film that focused on the dark side of teenage naivety. Since that time, he has been busy working on many projects, including NBC's Timeless, SyFy's The Magicians, the Leo Award nominated short The Last Stop, Hallmark's The Wedding March 2: The Last Resort and The Wedding March 3: Here Comes The Bride with Jack Wagner and Josie Bissett. To Mitch's friends and family, his success in this field comes as no surprise. Ever the entertainer, Mitch is well known as a comedian who spends his downtime songwriting, snowboarding and attempting to master the fine art of Jiu Jitsu. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Actor's Team
