Robert Edward Healy, III, a Pittsburgh native, has been a media professor at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh since 2014. Before returning to Pittsburgh and becoming the editor of the Baldwin-Whitehall Patch from December 2010 to October 2013 (and the UpperSt.Clair Patch from May to October 2013), Robert worked out of the area for the previous three years in the public relations industry, including time as the director of athletics communications at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, from July 2008 to July 2010. He graduated from Duquesne in 2006 (master's) and 2005 (bachelor's). Robert has worked for a variety of companies on a part-time basis, as well, including iHeartMedia, the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Pittsburgh Sports Report and The Daily Item of Sunbury, Pennsylvania. He was also a marketing specialist for the Court Time Sports Center of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania, from February to September 2007. Following employment at Court Time, Robert became the assistant sports information director at Hamilton College in Clinton, New York. A lifelong athlete, Robert's four Duquesne football teams (two as an all-conference honoree) did not lose a conference game while winning four straight championships, including a national title in 2003. He was also a standout track & field athlete. In 2005-06, he set Duquesne's indoor and outdoor shot put records and won the Atlantic 10 Conference discus throw title. He finished grad school with a 4.00 GPA, an Atlantic 10 Student-Athlete of the Year award and an Academic All-America honor. He is 1 of only 2 Duquesne athletes to win championships in multiple sports (excluding cross country and track & field combinations). Robert has performed as an actor and a voice performer for a number of companies. He has also been a sports radio commentator (both play-by-play and color) for Duquesne, Hamilton and Susquehanna, earning three Associated Press awards in the process. He has also done college football sideline reporting for WOLF-TV in the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, area. American Graphic Design & Advertising recognized Robert's Susquehanna Athletics brochures in March 2009 for their design. Robert also designed and built a new web identity for Susquehanna Athletics during his time there. Robert and his wife, Nicole, live in Pittsburgh's South Hills area with their two daughters. He continues to compete in sports -- now with the Pittsburgh Team Handball Club -- and he occasionally authors books on sports history. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Self
