Chris Tavani was born in Nyack, NY to Kellyanne Smith and Frank Tavani. Kellyanne has worked in sales and client services for 15+ years in addition to being Chris' talent manager when he was a child. Frank has worked in seafood sales for 25+ years supporting the Tavani family of three boys. Chris's brothers Greg (21) and Jeff (28) both work in film as a NY-based photographer and an LA-based assistant director. Chris has been a SAG actor since 2000. His professional acting career began at the young age of 5 when his uncles recommended he begin auditioning in New York. Greg Smith (bicoastal commercial producer) and Thomas P. Smith (LA-based Assistant director and producer) saw a calling in Chris, and he's honed his craft ever since. Growing up in the suburbs of New York City worked well for Chris Tavani's acting career. After a few national commercial appearances, he landed a five year role as Luke Snyder on the daytime Emmy award-winning soap As The World Turns. Since then, Chris has taken time to build his real life, earning a bachelors degree in cell biology at Binghamton University. Throughout college he participated in acting classes, and expressed his acting chops via social media platforms such as Vine, Snapchat, and Instagram.
