Daria Rountree was born and raised in Burbank, California. She realized her passion for film when she was 5, while visiting her father on set of Fear and Loathing. That was the first time she witnessed Movie Magic. She started acting in school productions in the second grade. She picked up a camera at 12. In high school she competed in various drama tournaments, placing in the top winning scenes multiple times. Graduating college with a Bachelors of Science in Digital Filmmaking and Video Production. She won Best Cinematographer of 2013 at The Art Institute and a Scholarship in a 72 hour film challenge for "Changed". Some of her work can be seen on YouTube under Dariar Visuals. She attended Playhouse West, the Upright Citizens Brigade and Hey, I Saw Your Commercial. She DP'd the BET show, Inside the Label(2015). The short film "Ghosts" she DP'd screened at Cannes Film Fest 2018. She completed a few short films with her production company 90 Degree Films including What We Want For Christmas & There's A Ghost In The Bedroom. An episode of The Tanner Webseries she directed has screened at film festivals such as The Hollywood Comedy Shorts Film Fest and Indie Film Fest.
