Diane D Beam, AKA Diane D Griffith, was born in San Francisco. She received a Bachelor's degree in Physics, from BYU, Utah, and a Master's degree in Film Studies, from the University of Utah. Diane is a writer, screenwriter, film producer, and director. She is best known for the original collaborative work Professor Stephen W. Hawking,"Fate of the Universe" in the field of modern cosmology, focuses on the origin, nature, and future of the Universe. "Fate of the Universe" shot in 35mm film, in post production, features Professor Hawking in locations in his home city of Cambridge, England, and Cambridge University. Additional film locations include Utah's majestic "Canyonlands" and "Arches" National Parks. Diane collaborated with Professor Hawking on additional feature film productions. Before working in film, Diane was writer, director, producer of internationally distributed, mixed-format, science productions, including "Beyond the Horizon" narrated by Patrick Stewart, "Cosmic Catastrophes" and "Quantum Leap". In addition to work as writer, director, producer, Diane works as an actor in film, television, and stage, including the feature film "The Happy Worker" directed by Duwayne Dunham with Executive Producer David Lynch and the television series "Yellowstone" featuring Kevin Costner, as created and written by Director Taylor Sheridan. In her first acting role, Diane's portrayed "Alice" in her high school stage production, "Alice in Wonderland", followed by the role "Peppermint Patty" in the community stage production "You're a Good Man Charlie Brown" as created by writer and artist, Charles Schultz. For this theatrical production, Mr. Schultz provided critical feedback and generously donated the use of his original Broadway stage set. Diane has British, Irish, French, and Ashkenazi Russian Jewish, ancestry. She has sisters on her maternal line with surnames Hadley, Rosenthal, and Levin. More recently, Diane discovered that her paternal surname is Griffith and she has a Griffith brother. Diane has two sons.
