Zoe Sidney was born on March 9 1995 in Berlin, Germany to her father Milton Welsh, an actor and DJ, and to her mother Lotta Welsch, a bartender. Zoe started acting at the age of 7 in a Berlin television movie called Mutter kommt in Fahrt (2003) she then moved to Los Angeles, California at 18 years old to study acting at the Lee Strasberg theater and film institute.
