Brandon Sklenar

Brandon Sklenar was born in New Jersey to a carpenter and a hair dresser. At 14, he decided he would be an actor. Choosing the uncertainty of California over what was a familiar New York City, he dropped out of college and moved to Los Angeles to further his career, and studied with various teachers and to hone his craft. Recently, Brandon worked with revered international filmmaker Amir Naderi (99 Homes), recipient of The Venice Film Festival Golden Lion Award, on his next directorial effort, Magic Lantern. He will next be seen in the highly anticipated Dick Cheney biopic Backseat, with Academy Award Winners Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Sam Rockwell and writer/director Adam McKay. Brandon also stars opposite Matt Smith (The Crown) as real life artist Edward Mapplethorpe, in the film Mapplethorpe, about the life and death of controversial photographer Robert Mapplethorpe, which is in competition at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Admin
