Recent work in Tribeca Film Festival in the role of "Tom Baril," in Mapplethorpe (2018). Primarily a Method actor, Jason is driven by a passion to bring authenticity and truth to his work in order to bring a role to life. As lead actor of PTSD, Jason Lopez was awarded a Coin of Excellence from Commander Col. Lee Andrew Flemming after a screening of the film at the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers in Europe, for his contribution to the cause. Jason also works with the Canine Companions to help veterans suffering PTSD. Jason Lopez began acting in his teens at the Hollywood Theatre in Florida, before moving to New York at 18, where he worked on off Broadway shows whilst attending acting schools Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg Film and Theatre Institute. He studied with Susan Batson, but a highlight of Jason's acting studies was being directed by the legendary Dennis Hopper. Jason has starred in several award-winning TV shows, including How I Met Your Mother and Joss Whedon's Dollhouse. He starred in award-winning film The Union and more recently played the lead role in PTSD, an 'Oscar worthy' performance which won Jason a Best Actor award as well as winning PTSD Best Film at Chelsea Film Festival.
