British actor and writer Jason Wing was born on January 12th 1971 in West London. He has lived in South West London for most of his Life. He has Cherokee heritage from his Father and English from his Mother. He developed an interest in theatre and film at a young age. By the age of 10 he started doing Drama classes at school and joined a theatre company called Stage One. The same year he did his first production, the musical Oliver where he played the Artful Dodger. He also joined Glynn Knowles Drama club where he was encouraged to write and perform in his own Plays and it was during this period that he decided to become a professional actor/writer. He went to college and studied Drama and English Literature to further his aim of becoming a professional actor while continuing to do plays with Heatham House Youth Theatre. Upon graduating from college he went to study at the Lee Strasberg Institute where he developed a passion for immersive acting that has stayed with him for life. Later he auditioned at the Drama Centre to learn about acting technique. They accepted him but he could not afford the fees. Luckily he was encouraged to get in touch with Sir Anthony Hopkins who gave him a Scholarship to study at drama school. He graduated from drama school in 1999 and started doing Cameos and Walk On parts in films while occasionally doing Johnny Depp's double work between theatre jobs.
