In August 2015, Angelica Luiggi started her sophomore year attending to the school Escuela Especializada en Cinematografía, Cacique Agüeybaná in Bayamon, Puerto Rico; which is the only school specialized in cinematography in the entire Caribbean. In December of that same year, with no acting experience at all, she stared in her first short film titled Broken, produced by Vianca K. Rosario, Under Control Films. With this English speaking, 15-minute film Angelica won her first two Best Actress Awards in the Ponte Los cortos Film Festival, and the Festival del Nuevo Cine Juvenil. Since then Angelica found her passion for acting and filmmaking. This grew a hunger for more experience in the industry; so she explored many positions in the filmmaking crew: 1st A.D., Producer, Makeup Artist, photographer, editor, extra, Assistant of Making of, and Director. In January of 2017 she stared in her second professional short film, called Adiós Sr. Angustia by CJ Lozada produced by Panda business and Under Control Films. With this 13-minute film, Luiggi won her third Best Actress Award in the Enfoque International Film Festival. To this day, Angelica has been part of 21 short films, including Oshun (2018 -director) and The Stain (2018- actress), and her first full length movie Trail of Ashes (2018- actress).
