Molly Kinsale Ratermann grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her father, George, is an entrepreneur and her mother, Dawn, worked in sales. She has two sisters, Mary and Marie, and a brother, William. She is of Irish, French, and German descent. She first became involved in theater by incident in the 4th grade. She started to pursue her own film career at 13 by getting involved with college level programs such as Academy of Art San Francisco & New York Film Academy where she studied acting for film and even directing.
