Mike Taylor began his filmmaking career as the director of photography of an award winning short film when he was 11 years old. Since that time he has worked as a production company producer on hundreds of commercials (e.g. McDonald's, Coca-Cola, Ford, Target, Partnership For A Drug Free America), as well as for films for the Showtime Television Network. He crossed over to ad agency producer, producing national campaigns for clients such as the Army National Guard, Air National Guard, Special Olympics, Consumer Information Center, Amtrak and regional campaigns for Virginia Tourism Corporation and the Williamsburg Convention and Visitors Bureau. Along the way he was allowed to try his hand at directing, working on campaigns for Navy Federal Credit Union and Virginia Tourism Corporation. The success of this work encouraged him to launch his production company Potomac Pictures, LLC in the fall of 2005. As a director he has additionally worked on film and video projects for Veterans Health Administration, Allegacy Federal Credit Union, Baylor University Health Care, Washington National Opera, W.M.A.T.A. (Metro) the Army National Guard and U.S. Department of State. Potomac Pictures has also served as the production company for commercials for the Virginia Lottery, Medicare and the Air National Guard. Mike has written and directed nine short films, the most recent being selected to be in the Studio City International Film Festival.
