Liza Scholtz is a trained film actress, born 14 October 1991 and raised in Cape Town, South Africa. In September 2017 she attended The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF2017) for the world premiere of feature film High Fantasy of which she co-wrote and played one of the lead characters Tatianna. At TIFF2017 she was nominated for the Rising Stars Programme. High Fantasy will have its European premiere at the Berlinale in Germany of February 2018. Liza can also be seen in The Maze Runner: The Death Cure (2018) opposite Kaya Scodelario, and in Origins: The Journey of Humankind where she plays Bernice Myers, a young African American woman who is faced with racial prejudice when she moves into Levittown, an all-white suburb in America in the 50's. In 2014 Liza graduated Cum Laude at the African School of Motion Picture Medium and Live Performance (AFDA) with an honours degree in acting for screen. Since then she has worked on various international and local projects also having done extensive voice work and American and RP British accent training with Robyn Scott. Liza takes a keen interest in facilitating spaces for actors to explore their craft. After following his work for years on Youtube, Liza organized and facilitated intensive acting workshops for South African actors with renowned acting couch Anthony Meindl. In December 2017, he flew down from Los Angeles to Cape Town to run the workshops.
