Joel M. Gonzales is an entrepreneur and an award-winning film producer. A native of Los Angeles; growing up in the inner-city community of Watts. He has worked on various studio and independent films, where he made it a point to learn and absorb all he could, from those in positions of success willing to share their skills and knowledge. This allowed him to move up fast in the ranks as a producer of his own films and for hire. His first feature film "Followed Home" (made on a 3k budget) is still available on many digital platforms and box retailers today as a great example of "no-budget" filmmaking. His second produced feature; "Exorcist: Prayers in the Dark", also available on many digital platforms, was produced for less than 20k, with its film rights optioned to be re-developed as a trilogy of films. After further honing his skills producing micro-budget films for-hire his reputation grew as the go-to producer for low budgets seeking a quality producer. In 2014, he formed Action Faith Media, a production company dedicated to producing content closer to his faith. His first film, "Crave: The Fast Life", a faith-crossover film set in the Los Angeles nightlife has won over (22) awards world-wide, and is in the top 20 trending Faith films on Amazon Video. Upcoming 2020 Action Faith Media releases include "Riding Faith", "My Brother's Keeper", and "Redeemed"; all films he produced with executive producer Troy Duhon, executive producer of the "God's Not Dead" trilogy. He has development deals with Mucho Mas Media, Amazon Video, Green Apple Entertainment, and Pureflix. He is currently in development of the inspiring true story "The Mustang Miracle" with Oscar nominated writer/director/producer Chris Weitz, and co-producer Javier Chapa. Other note worthy projects he is developing include; an "Untitled Ricardo Montalbán" bio-pic. And "Can You Hear Me?" with renown Pastor and Producer T.D. Jakes attached to executive produce. Joel serves as president of Nosotros, the oldest Latino Arts Advocacy non-profit founded by the iconic Ricardo Montalbán in 1970, and is the executive producer of the prestigious Nosotros Golden Eagle Awards he re-introduced in 2018. In the spirit of collaboration, networking and inspiring others, Joel is always ready and willing to share his resources and knowledge. He is a key speaker and serves on the board of the International Christian Film Festival in Orlando, and is a mentor for the Los Angeles Film Connection program. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Espada PR
