Celeste Insell has worked on stage; and in television and film. She studied in New York City at the Herbert Berghof studio in the early 1980's. She made her television debut playing the principal role of Nurse Graham in the made for TV movie "A Piano for Mrs. Cimino" (1982) which starred Bette Davis; and playing opposite Miss Davis remains one of the highlights of her career. She also played the role of "Lady in Blue" in the Western Canadian touring production of "For Colored Girls..." (1980); and later went on to perform the the very demanding monologue "A Night with Beau Willie" as part of her role. The production ran for six months in Vancouver after receiving rave reviews. She enjoys performing both in comedy and drama. Some of her more recent roles include a Lifetime made for TV movie "Grim Sleeper" (2014) and a Canadian indie short film "Mattress" (2014) directed by Michelle Kee which was selected for entry in the Cannes short film category.
