British actor Bob Peck was born in Leeds in north England on August 23, 1945. He attended Leeds Modern School and then graduated from Leeds College of Art before starting professional stage acting. Peck acted for the Royal Shakespeare Company and the National Theatre. He also starred in more than 20 television dramas. In Britain, he was best known for his role in the 1985 television series, Die Plutonium-Affäre (1985). Internationally, he made his mark as "Robert Muldoon", a game warden in Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park (1993). Peck was known as a highly adaptable actor and garnered wide respect from his colleagues. Actor Sir Ian McKellen has credited Peck as being the actor from whom he has learned the most. Peck died in London of cancer at age 53. He had fought the disease for several years.
