Danny De'Shawn Hill is an American-born Actor, Writer and Director from Champaign, IL. The 5th of eight children and born with a rare heart disease, De'Shawn was unable to do as other kids did, thus making him use his creativity as an outlet. Being known for constantly watching television, he was dubbed with the nickname 'T.V.' as a child. Growing up, De'Shawn was an avid reader and writer. Attending Urbana High School from 2004-2008, gave him his first taste of theater and film as he would work in the clothing design department and as a stage-hand on multiple productions. Not yet sure of his career path, De'Shawn enrolled into school for a Construction degree but dropped out soon after. After re-kindling his love for film and storytelling, He then moved to Los Angeles and visited his first film set as an Extra in the 2012 romantic-comedy 'Back Then' starring Aaron D. Spears and Malinda Williams. Moving back to the Midwest the following year, De'Shawn was still searching for more film and acting opportunities. Not finding many options in the 'college-town' of Champaign - He created his own. Starting the production company 'HD Productions' (soon to be changed to 'HD Productions Media') he produced his first film entitled 'Infection: An Independent Zombie Film' and premiered it at a local theater to a receptive and enthusiastic crowd. With mild local and Internet success, De'Shawn then created a comedic web-series entitled 'Downtown' that would run on YouTube about several college students living and learning in the well-known Downtown area of Champaign, IL. Going back to film, De'Shawn would revisit his time in Los Angeles and re-write his fast-paced action-crime-thriller entitled 'Holly' - an ode to the classic Spaghetti Western, 'The Good, The Bad and The Ugly'. 'Holly' released in 2016 in local Illinois theaters but De'Shawn was enthusiastic for more. Packing up his things once more, he again traveled across the country to Los Angeles, CA. This time, with a gritty short film in his possession; and a plan. 'Daughters' would soon release online as a message to the angry and exhausted to forgive once more. The film would also serve as a dedication to his Mother, Denece Hill. The film released on Mother's Day, 2017. With more projects on the way, De'Shawn has his eyes on large budget productions and more in-depth forms of storytelling, creating full, fleshed out worlds for his quirky and sometimes dangerous characters to live in! - IMDb Mini Biography By: Danny Hill
