Christian Kang (born Christian Bachini in Prato, in the wonderful Italian Region of Tuscany) is one of the few accomplished Mandarin-speaking foreign actors working today in Chinese TV and film. Born in a country legendary for its cult genre movies, Polizziottesco, Spaghetti Western, Mafia Movies and the infamous Gothic Horrors, Christian was amazed, already at a very young age, by the talent of Italy's finest directors as Sergio Leone, Enzo G. Castellari, Fernando Di Leo, Umberto Lenzi, Lucio Fulci, Sergio Sollima, Sergio Corbucci and the other Big names of the 70's and 80's generation. Fascinated by the hardcore action and the unique balance of comedy and violence depicted in those movies and by the performances of cult actors such as Fabio Testi, Franco Nero, Tomas Milian, Maurizio Merli and the legendary Bud Spencer and Terence Hill, Christian started to develop a great passion for the action movie genre. Then, at age 10, he finally witnessed the performance of an actor that changed it all. That actor was Jackie Chan. Astonished by the amazing fighting skills and comedy performance of Chan, Christian found a newborn love in the hardcore impact Hong Kong martial arts movie genre. Growing Up watching Hong Kong martial arts film and inspired by his idols as the late great Bruce Lee, Gordon Liu, Alexander Fu Sheng, Liu Chia Liang , Sammo hung, Yuen Biao and many others, Christian firmly decided to pursue a career as an action movie actor in Asia. It was not only that though. Christian had an even bigger dream: to fuse Italy's unique exploitation style with the hard hitting impressive fight choreography of the Asian epic action movies. As a professional actor combined with over 14 years of training in traditional kung fu, modern wushu, muay thai, Tae Kwon Do, Capoeira, and many other combat styles, Christian Kang's career began in Shanghai in 2009 with his breakout role in the short film "Kang De Chuan Qi" written and directed by Shanghai director Zhong Hua Fu and winner of multiple awards both in the Chinese film festivals circuit and in the US genre festivals in Pasadena and Los Angeles. After attending the 2014 Rome Film Festival in Italy, together with a group of Chinese Producers to promote Euro-Chinese Co-Productions, Kang began to dedicate his time to the promotion of Chinese culture and Martial Arts philosophy in his home country, by hosting a series of Italian TV Shows with particular mention to the Adventure Show "Undergames", a show dedicated to a younger audience where Kang was able to play his own persona and drive the young contestants through a series of Missions following the ancient teaching of Chinese Martial Arts Culture.
