Akiko Ashley

Akiko Ashley began her career as a game designer and coder in the video game industry in its early days, eventually becoming an executive at a Japanese game company. After leaving the video game industry, Akiko became a music industry executive working directly with bands and musicians, and record labels. Akiko began acting when asked to do the movie The Basketball Diaries (1995) and appeared in several other films like Die Hard with a Vengeance (1995), Rounders (1998) , and in Zoolander (2001), Akiko entered the world of VFX and Animation in 2000 and began working as a Producer or Technical Producer at Luminetik Productions in visual effects and animation on such movies as Two Weeks Notice and National Geographic Snake Wranglers Akiko is a freelance editor on YA books and comic books, and was on the Board of Advisors for Keyframe Magazine in 2003 to 2005 and for HDRI Magazine in 2006 to 2007 and is an acting Senior Associate Editor at Architosh (2003-2019). Akiko's experience helped give her a unique skill as a Producer as she could see the pipeline from all different creative disciplines, using her background in writing, she began writing and creating stories and putting them into Production at Luminetik Productions.
