Keisuke Hoashi is easily recognized from his nearly 200 credits in film, TV, voiceover, and national commercials. Among his most memorable guest-starring appearances on hit TV shows are Bob's Burgers (2011), Mad Men (2007), and How I Met Your Mother (2005). He voiced multiple roles in two of the biggest video games of 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 (2020) and Ghost of Tsushima (2020). He recurs on Bob's Burgers (2011) as the voice of Japanese action movie star Hawk 'Koji' Kojima, among other guest starring roles for the show. Keisuke (pronounced "Case-Kay") is noted for his trademark mild-mannered appearance, deadpan wit, and ability to play over-the-top characters, both American and Japanese. He has performed a broad range of comedic and dramatic characters, ranging from the bizarrely absurd (Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2003) for the "Hello Kitty is not a cat" scandal and The Detour (2016) as Bozo-San the Chameleon-like Japanese Clown) to the consummate professional (StartUp (2016) with Ron Perlman and Adam Brody; Law & Order True Crime (2017) as the legendary Judge Lance Ito). Although Keisuke frequently plays doctors (Better Things (2016), Mulaney (2014), Criminal Minds (2005)) and other professionals, he performs roles of all kinds with ease. He's played a 1920s bartender in Perry Mason (2020); a frantically unethical Japanese scientist in the cult hit Better Off Ted (2009); a high-tech beef jerky addict in The King of Queens (1998); and a world-weary high school sex ed teacher in Casual (2015). At the start of his career, Keisuke shattered musical theatre stereotypes by landing major roles in productions without any roles for Asian-American actors, including "My Fair Lady," "Anything Goes," "The Last of Mrs. Lincoln," and "1776." He has performed on stage in Los Angeles at the Geffen Playhouse, the Venture West Theatre Company, the Classical Theatre Lab, Gily Productions, and Fire Rose Productions. A writer and musician, Keisuke wrote, produced, and starred in the world's first Martial Arts Musical Comedy, "Memoirs of a Ninja." His satirical work won five Maddy Awards, five Garland Awards, and was honored as a "The Best Theatre 2000" pick by NiteLife After Dark magazine. As an educator, in 2006 Keisuke co-founded the summer camp NYSMF (New York Summer Music Festival). From 2006-2012 he taught daily classes in filmmaking, acting, and musical theatre, producing 120 short films and original musicals. He is also a founder of the Michigan Performing Arts Camp, and taught at EMCOP (Encore Music Camp of PA) and HCSMFI (Hartwick College Summer Music Festival and Institute). Keisuke holds a Masters in Technical Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a B.A. in English from the State University of New York, Potsdam. He is a native of Queens, New York and a graduate of Stuyvesant High School. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Biographer_LA
