Gareth has been a professional, working actor for more than thirty five years, garnering roles in significant, major motion pictures as well as prestigious art house, independent films. He has over thirty films to his credit, often working alongside luminaries in the business such as Annette Bening, Hilary Swank, Elle Fanning, Billy Crudup, Mike Mills, Frances McDormand, William Forsythe, Marisa Tomei, Lawrence Fishburne, to name just some. "Love After Love," a hauntingly gorgeous film where Gareth plays Andie MacDowell's husband and father to Chris O'Dowd recently had its screen debut at the Tribeca Film Festival where it was met with great reviews and audience response. He has , to date, made appearances in over 50 different Television Shows, many of which were long time recurring roles such as Waylon Burke in "The Shield," Joey's father in "Dawson's Creek" and Gordon Knowles, father to Jennifer Love Hewitt on her show "The Time Of Your Life."
