Phyllis Thinkii

Phyllis Thinkii was born in Kenya, East Africa. Unlike many Kenyans, the only marathon she's ever done was when running after chickens, cows, and goats on her family farm. After doing very well in high school, Phyllis' parents gave her the option to either go to Mombasa beach for two weeks or a chance to study abroad. At 19, she had never been on a plane before, so she chose the latter. While studying computer Engineering in Washington DC, Phyllis watched an unhealthy amount of TV and classic films in the evenings to soothe her homesickness. That led her to the curiosity of how the words on TV came to be. After an encounter with an Opus Dei nun who recommended a writing program in Los Angeles, plus discovering LA never gets snow (as of 2020), Phyllis shipped her car and never went back to DC. Upon getting to Los Angeles, Phyllis worked at the Directors Guild of America, ABC/Disney studio, and Warner Bros studio. Phyllis speaks 4 languages: English, German, Meru, and Swahili.
