Steve Devito was born in Seaford, New York and grew up on Long Island, attending public schools and taking music lessons. He was always interested in the entertainment business, which is due in part to the strong influence of his father, encouraging Steve in the music and acting pursuits. Steve graduated from Marist College, 'Poughkeepsie, NY', with a B.A. in Communications. He started to take acting lessons after college, at first with the Queens, NY group 'Theatre Next Door' which had a Stanislovski emphasis. He went on to work for 'ABC TV' as an accountant and was able to work the camera on occasion. His experience in-front-of and behind-the-camera has enabled Steve to have a more complete perspective of productions. Steve has always loved the movies and the great character actors. His acting style is intense, yet down-to-earth, and has been influenced by Marlon Brando, Robert DeNiro, and Al Pacino, among others. Steve does best as a tough, street-wise, New Yorker type. He was featured in a theatrical rendition of the Sopranos, entitled "The Sopranos Last Spaghetti Dinner", and the spoof entitled, "Soapranos". As with many working actors, he has done uncredited roles in many NYC-based productions. He appears in: Godzilla (1998), The Siege (1998), Spider-Man 3 (2007), and a club scene in 'Sex and the City'. Steve has also been involved with many independent projects, produced by filmmakers Rob Reilly and Albert J. Allie, as well as Tasciotti with an upcoming role as a tough, executioner Judge from the future in 'The Instant Messenger'. Steve's other interests are: meeting people, live music, playing saxophone, weight lifting, jogging, and enjoying a diversity of cuisine from around the world. He continues to live and work in the New York metro area and can be found performing at local venues. - IMDb Mini Biography By: Myster Ey
