Cecilia Miljiker was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She studied Film Direction at Universidad del Cine and Investigative Journalism at Universidad del Salvador. Later on, she did a Postgraduate Course on Digital Journalism at Pompeu Fabra University (associated with Google and Artear Argentina) Her first documentary is "The executed" (released in theaters in 2004 and in television in 2005) The film participated in several international film festivals (Fribourg International Film Festival, La Havana International Film Festival, Cartagena TV and Film Festival, Derhumalc Film Festival (of Human Rights), among others). Her second documentary ("A year of dance") was released in theaters and in television in 2018 and received the Special Mention Award in Cini Film Festival (International Children's Film Festival) . In 2019, she obtained the Google/Adepa Award (for innovation in digital media) for her webdoc "The Santiago Report".
