Melissa De Mol

Melissa De Mol was born in London. She began her acting career at age 14 as one of the children in the Carpenters Story performing in front of audiences of 5000 a night. She then continued predominantly in musical theatre for several years, before moving into mostly straight theatre after landing the lead role of Death in Ingmar Bergman's The Seventh Seal. She has since gone on to have many exciting roles in theatre, TV and film; including lead roles with the Royal Shakespeare Company, High Tide Theatre and alongside some of the great names from film and TV including: Sandra Dickinson, Susan Kyd and Jane How. She was the recipient of the prestigious 'Best Actress' award at the Toronto Reel Heart International Film festival in 2016, for her lead role in Chasing Fame, shot on location in Toronto, Niagra Falls, London and Glasgow. She has been producing since 2015 and has completed three short films, two of which are still on the festival circuit, and which have won six awards to date.
