Karen Labbe

Karen Labbé is a French Canadian actress, producer and director born in St-Georges de Beauce, Québec, Canada. She started working in the United States after Majoring in Films Studies from University of Montréal and winning awards for her short film debut. References to her cultural roots (Québécoise) are often proudly featured in her work as well as her love for other languages (Swedish, Spanish and German). In Québec, Karen is known as one of the contestant of the popular TV Show "Deal or no Deal" (Le Banquier, Season 3) hosted by Julie Snyder for TVA (Network). After being on the show, she went on to college and directed short films that earned some attention in the festival circuit and eventually got her a Co-Producer Credit on the documentary "It's A Strange World - The filming of Blue Velvet" about David Lynch's masterpiece, Blue Velvet (1986).
