Shawn McBride

Shawn McBride was born in Savannah, Georgia and is of Irish/Italian decent. He now lives in Hawaii with his family. He is married to Dee McBride. They have one son, Shane McBride born on Shawn's birthday in 2006. Shawn caught the acting bug growing up in Savannah which has become a popular filming destination. He has been able to pull from his wealth of real life experiences as a former U.S. Army 101st Airborne veteran, firefighter, and police officer in his acting. Since moving to Hawaii in 2012, Shawn has appeared on Hawaii 5-0 numerous times, several indie films to include the role of Brian Lockwood in the award winning film Popolo. These days he is spending a lot of time on both ends of the camera as he remains active in acting as well as producing and directing. In 2015 Shawn created his own project, a web series called Paradise Justice that was picked up for online distribution, which he jokes was his film school of hard knocks. He is currently writing several screenplays and has several other film projects that are in preproduction. When Shawn is not working he can be found in the blue waters of Hawaii, surfing, boogie boarding, snorkeling, etc with his son. They also enjoy biking, camping, skateboarding and hiking. Shawn is an active member of his church and enjoys being a role model for his son, Shane who is always by Shawn's side on his productions.
