Mandela Bellamy

Mandela Bellamy was raised in Youngstown, OH by her Jamaican mother, an attorney, now retired. She grew up with an older sibling, Brandeis Bellamy. Mandela got her start as a performer at the young age of 3 as a dancer- primarily tap- performing and competing around the country. Mandela began performing at the Youngstown Playhouse in Ohio at age 12. Then after many rigorous years as an award winning public speaker she flew to Los Angeles on days notice after receiving a scholarship from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Since then she has worked with Grammy Award winning artists such as Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga and appeared in a number of award winning television shows such as "Glee", "Jessica Jones" &"The Blacklist."
