Julia Effertz

Julia Effertz is an award-nominated German actress of Polish and Flemish heritage who most recently starred in My Zoe (2019), alongside Julie Delpy, Richard Armitage, Gemma Arterton and Daniel Brühl. Growing up trilingually with English, German and French, Julia went on to train as an actress in Paris, Oxford and London, where her dramatic range and comedic chops earned her rave reviews. While writing, producing and acting in her first short film Fanmail (2012), in which she played a bereaved fan hell-bent on revenge opposite Michael Epp, Julia made her German television debut playing a Muslim convert in the family drama Die Kinder meiner Tochter (2013) opposite Jürgen Prochnow, René Ifrah and Kida Khodr Ramadan.
